Belmont Plumbing and Heating Aberdeen is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible, in line with the Equality Act 2010 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. If you have trouble using any part of the site, ring us on 07308 204100 and we'll help directly.
Our conformance target
We aim for WCAG 2.2 Level AA across every page on this website. That includes minimum contrast for text, full keyboard navigation, visible focus indicators, proper heading structure, descriptive image alt text, persistent form labels (not placeholders-as-labels), no audio that auto-plays, and a 'skip to main content' link at the top of every page.
What we've done so far
- All body text meets or exceeds the 4.5:1 colour-contrast ratio against its background
- All interactive elements (buttons, links, form controls) have visible focus states
- Touch targets on mobile are at least 44×44 CSS pixels in line with WCAG 2.5.8
- All meaningful images carry descriptive alt text; decorative images are properly marked decorative
- Page language is declared (en-GB) at the HTML root
- Site structure uses semantic HTML elements (header, nav, main, section, article, footer)
- No audio or video auto-plays on any page
- Forms use top-positioned persistent labels rather than relying on placeholder text
Known limitations
We're a small team and the website is genuinely new (May 2026). We test in current Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Edge on desktop and iOS Safari and Android Chrome on mobile. We have not yet tested with every assistive technology, so if you use a screen reader, magnification, voice control or another assistive technology and run into a problem, please let us know.
